Semi-Automatic Shotguns

Features & Benefits

The Inertia-Driven Operating System

The inertia-driven system adopted for Caesar Guerini semi-automatic shotguns is the result of a precise engineering choice aimed at maximizing long-term reliability, stability, and shooting comfort.
At the heart of the mechanism lies a specially designed dual disc spring system, non-helical in design, positioned on the magazine tube at the front of the forend. This solution provides greater elasticity and more uniform operation compared to traditional springs, contributing to a smoother, more progressive recoil absorption. Even in the event of partial damage, the system is engineered to continue functioning, ensuring outstanding operational reliability.
Positioning the inertial mass in the front section of the shotgun, rather than at the rear, significantly improves dynamic balance during firing. The barrel remains more stable, muzzle rise is reduced, and the shooter perceives enhanced control and comfort.
The bolt carrier is manufactured as a monolithic unit with two parallel, symmetrical guide rods, a configuration that ensures excellent horizontal stability and smooth, precise cycling.
The return spring, also housed on the magazine tube, operates axially and parallel to the barrel axis. It is designed to be easily removable, simplifying cleaning and routine maintenance.

Firing Cycle and Ammunition Management

In Caesar Guerini semi-automatic shotguns, control of the firing cycle is entrusted to a series of integrated design solutions that work together to ensure comfort, reliability, and safety in all conditions of use. The recoil-damping system is distributed across several strategic points of the shotgun. The primary damping element, positioned behind the bolt, features a large working surface that effectively absorbs even the most intense recoil impulses, helping to protect the mechanism and enhance shooting comfort. The floating ejector automatically adapts to different cartridge lengths and types, ensuring consistent and reliable ejection regardless of the ammunition used.
Rapid replacement of the chambered cartridge is made possible by a dedicated free-lifter system, allowing immediate ammunition changes simply by operating the bolt handle. A practical, dedicated button also enables quick and intuitive bolt closure.
The oscillating locking lug is a technical solution that allows for a more compact receiver while maintaining the highest standards of safety and mechanical strength. After successfully passing Steel Shot proof testing and when paired with the appropriate choke tubes, the shotgun is certified for use with steel shot ammunition, further expanding its operational versatility.

Stocks and Forends

In Caesar Guerini semi-automatic shotguns, the stock is not merely an ergonomic component, but an integral part of the firearm’s overall balance. The stock features elegant, well-proportioned lines and is always hand oil-finished. It is fitted with a rounded, hand-crafted “Prince of Wales” pistol grip, a distinctive choice that clearly sets it apart from standard rounded grips and conveys a strong stylistic identity and an immediate perception of quality. From a functional perspective, the absence of sharp edges or forced geometries ensures a natural, comfortable, and instinctive grip. The stock easily adapts to different hand sizes, promoting confident control during mounting and firing. The newly developed soft recoil pad has been designed to work in synergy with the inertia-driven system, progressively absorbing residual recoil and further enhancing overall comfort, even during extended shooting sessions.
