Barrels
Chrome-Molybdenum Steel Maxisbore and DueCon Technology for Outstanding Ballistics
The heart of the firearm: precision and elegance transformed into performance.
The barrels, manufactured from solid chrome-molybdenum steel, are deep-drilled and over-bored to ensure maximum elasticity of the material, delivering clear advantages in ballistic performance. A double robotic polishing process, followed by hand finishing, guarantees a superior aesthetic surface quality.
Customers may choose among different types of sights and top ribs, depending on the intended use:
- Hunting – ventilated, tapered top ribs or, on higher-grade models, traditional tapered solid (non-ventilated) ribs, both fully arabesque-engraved and fitted with brass bead front sights.
- Sport – arabesque-engraved top ribs with a longitudinal low-profile center line, equipped with both mid-bead and front bead sights to assist the shooter in maintaining proper gun alignment.
The barrels are also engineered in a “Steel Shot” configuration, suitable for the use of steel-shot ammunition.
For 12-gauge models, a specially developed internal geometry known as Maxisbore has been introduced, flowing into a long forcing cone called DueCon. The Maxisbore–DueCon combination reduces pellet deformation, produces denser and more penetrating patterns thanks to increased velocity, and at the same time significantly reduces felt recoil.
